Laurie Reed
My name is Laurie Reed. I have played fastpitch softball for over 15 years. My
career has included competitive travel softball with the East Cobb Fastpitch
organization, where I competed with some of the most elite programs across the
country. My time with East Cobb has included several ASA National appearances --
finishing as high as 5th and 6th, ASA State Champions, ISA World Runner-Up, and
back-to-back 3rd place finishes in the Colorado Fireworks Showcase tournament.
I played for Woodstock High School, where I was recognized with all-county
honors. I helped lead my team to the school's first ever State Tournament
appearance, where we finished 2nd. I was the second Division 1 Recruit out of
the program behind my sister Kristine, who was recruited 2 years prior to MTSU.
The highlight of my softball career has been playing Division I softball with
Georgia Tech. At Georgia Tech I was a part of multiple record breaking seasons,
competing in the Women's College World Series, and finishing as high as 15th in
the country.
Now that I have completed my playing career, I have turned my efforts to the
coaching aspect of the game. In addition to training athletes with Premier Sport
Services, I have coached multiple seasons out of the East Cobb Organization.
